This tour is suitable for families who like the outdoors and a little adventure. With Elephant trekking, waterfalls and rafting complemented by some good trekking through beautiful jungle scenary you will not be disappointed. Due to the level of trekking we do not deem this tour suitable for children under the ages of 12 unless they are prepared for 6 hour treks in the jungle!

Chiang Mai’s National Conservation Forest offers a biodiversity second to none in South East Asia and assures you the ultimate trekking experience which is not the only walk in the park. Doi Intanon is Thailand’s highest point and the hillsides and mountains nearby in the Doi Intanon National Park feed a series of breathtaking waterfalls which support unique bio systems, all waiting to be explored and appreciated. This is the background to our tour through the hillside jungles of Pagayor, Chiang Mai.

Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 1 (L,D)

08.30:     Pick up from Hotel for transfer to Sanpatong district.
10.30:     Start with the Elephant riding through the jungle and scenic route for an hour.
12.00:     Picnic Lunch en route.
13.00:     Start trekking for 4 hours through the jungle via the waterfalls for refreshment on the way. Occasionally sighting the hilltribe villages and terrace farmer along the mountain paths.
18.00:     Dinner & Overnight at local Hill Tribe village.

Day 2 (B,L,D)

08.30: The Karen Roosters will wake you up. Then we will prepare the communal breakfast before starting to trek. We will trek for approximately 6 hours during the day through the jungle and waterways to Sao Gaew waterfall.

12.00: Picnic lunch on the way.

18.00: Dinner & Overnight at hut.

Day 3 (B,L)

08.30: Wake up & preparing breakfast.

09.30: Start trekking for 3 hours off and uphill into the jungle along the river & over creek beds to a quaint Karen Village.

12.00: Lunch at local shop.

14.00: Start Bamboo Rafting or White water rafting downstream (depends on river conditions) before continue transfer back to Chiang Mai.
