Ayutthaya Day Cruise by Grand Pearl Cruises. The Grand Pearl Cruise is a large Cruise boat. Her regular duty is to escort Thai and foreign tourists along the Chao Phraya River to visit Ayutthaya at day and to charter for parties by night. The interior on the Grand Pearl Cruise is decorated in a rich classical Thai style; and with over 10 years experience, our professional staff provide guests with a warm and friendly service.
On this day-long journey visit Ayutthaya, the old Siamese capital before the Burmese ransacked it in 1767. After the Bang Pa-In Palace (Kings' Summer Palace), visit three of Ayutthaya’s most interesting temples – Wat Mahathat, Wat Lokayasutharam and Wat Na Phra Mane. Then board the Cruise boat for lunch before cruising back to Bangkok. Accompanying the cooling breezes on deck, will be glorious views of the countryside, The Grand Palace and Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn).
Be enchanted over lunch as you enjoy our Thai and international buffet. Arrive Ayutthaya one of the world heritage cities. Visit Wat Phrasrisanphet, the largest temple in Ayutthaya that was built in 14th century and use as the Royal Temple-cum-palace by several kings, Wat Chai Wattanaram, constructed by King Prasathong in 1630 with a huge prang surrounded by smaller ones to symbolize mount Meru, the abode of the heavenly gods. River Sun brings you a combination of both the ruins and the remaining historical attractions. Wat Maha That: Over 600 years old, Wat Maha That was the heart and soul of the Ayutthaya people. It was almost completely destroyed by the Burmese during Thai-Burmese war. Wat Phrasri-Sanphet: Wat Prasri-Sanphet in The Ancient Palace and Wat Chai Wattanaram. The Wat Prasri-Sanphet is one of the most important Aytthaya Royal temples and is prominently located in front of the old royal palace. At this temple the royal family worship the Mongkolborpit Buddha. |
| 13:00 PM | Welcome on board the luxurious cruiser Grand Pearl at Wat Pontangtai Pier near Bangsai (the royal folk arts and handicrafts center). Superb buffet lunch which includes a delightful variety of oriental and western cuisines will be served. In the meantime, you will relax and enjoythe fascination scenery on the River of Kings, witnessing the rural Thai life along both side of the mighty river. The boat will pass Pathumthani and Nonthaburi province before reaching Bangkok City. |
